Access to Montpellier

by train

Montpellier is linked to all the principal cities in France by TGV (TGV Méditerranée).
The city is on the Paris - Lyon - Perpignan - Barcelona line.
The trip from Paris to Montpellier (Montpellier St-Roch) leaving from Paris Gare de Lyon takes around 3 hours and 15 minutes.
Certain trains leave directly from the Charles de Gaulle airport.

The International Airport of Montpellier-Méditerranée is around 8 kms from the city centre. There are taxis, shuttles and buses from the airport towards the city.
There are daily flights connecting Paris and Montpellier (1-1½ hours flight from Orly or Roissy Airports). There are also direct flights from many of the major european cities (London, Frankfort) and most french cities.

A shuttle bus (la navette) from the airport takes you to the city centre in about 15 minutes, tickets cost around 5€ for a one way trip.


by car

Montpellier is on highway (autoroute) A7 Lyon - Barcelona, which is easily joined from many european cities.
The César Language Institute is situated in the historical centre of the city (in the pedestrian quarter) you can park your car in the public parking buildings of la Justice (Arc de Triomphe), la Préfecture, le Pitot, les Arceaux and la Comédie.
